Make work fly

The UK drone partner for organisations doing the work.

heliguy supplies the hardware, training, repair, software and consultancy that keep drone programmes flying — for the UK's largest police forces, fire services, utilities and telcos, and equally for the solo operator buying their first Mavic. We sit between the manufacturer and the operator, owning every link in between.

02The work

Drone programmes that organisations stake their operations on.

Six of the UK's most operationally demanding drone programmes — policing, fire & rescue, energy, telecoms — run on heliguy hardware, training, and support contracts.

North Wales Police

Operates a 24/7 drone-first-response programme covering 6,200 km² of mountain, coast and rural terrain. Heliguy supplies the fleet, trains the pilots, and maintains the airframes — all under one operational contract.

08How we operate

Make work fly.

Four operating principles. Not values. Not platitudes. The rules we run the business by.

01

We sign multi-year contracts.

Most of our enterprise relationships are five years old or more. We're not optimising for one-off transactions. The partnership is the product.

02

One supplier. Whole chain.

Hardware, training, repair, software, consultancy. The handoff between any two of those is where most drone programmes fail. We close those gaps in-house.

03

Everything documented.

For the operations we support, an unannounced regulator visit is a regular event. Our systems are built so that audit-grade documentation is the default, not an afterthought.

04

We don't oversell.

If a drone won't solve your problem, we say so. If a training package isn't right for your team, we say so. Procurement panels prefer the honest version.

09Sectors we serve

Where heliguy programmes are running today.

Eight sectors, each with deep operational requirements. Not a complete list — these are the sectors where we hold the most institutional knowledge.

01

Public safety — DFR

Drone as First Responder for police forces. Metropolitan Police, North Wales Police, Yorkshire Police, British Transport Police.

02

Fire & rescue

Incident response, scene assessment, thermal-led search. Merseyside FRS, RAF Mountain Rescue.

03

Utilities — power

Substation and transmission inspection. Asset condition monitoring at scale. National Grid, Electricity North West.

04

Telecoms

Mast and tower inspection. Coverage planning support. BT, Siemens.

05

Industrial inspection

Refinery, petrochemical and heavy-industry asset inspection. Confined-space and at-height alternatives. Phillips 66, Shell.

06

Survey & geospatial

Photogrammetry, LiDAR, 3DGS reality capture. Survey-grade outputs from drone-collected data.

07

Security & surveillance

Perimeter monitoring, event response, critical infrastructure protection.

08

Specialist contractors

Cyberhawk, Skyeye and other specialist drone operators using heliguy as their equipment, training and regulatory backbone.

10Who we serve

From first Mavic to fleet contract.

The same business that supplies BT and North Wales Police also helps a solo operator pick their first airframe. Most of our largest enterprise customers started as one person with a question.

01

Sole operator

First-time pilots buying their first Mavic or training to A2 CofC. Same shop, same training centre, same support line as the enterprise customers.

02

Small business operator

Survey firms, photographers, inspectors — the operator owning two to five aircraft, running their own jobs, occasionally renting extras.

Examples · Cyberhawk · Skyeye
03

Enterprise

Multi-site operators with internal pilot teams, formal training programmes, rental top-ups, scheduled maintenance and DJI Care Enterprise.

Examples · National Grid · Electricity North West · BT · Siemens · Phillips 66 · Shell
04

Public sector

Police forces, fire services, mountain rescue — running drone programmes under operational permissions, with regular training cycles and 24/7 support expectations.

Examples · Metropolitan Police · North Wales Police · Yorkshire Police · British Transport Police · RAF Mountain Rescue · Merseyside FRS

11Where we're going

heliguy.io — ops software for regulated drone programmes.

17 years of running drone programmes for the UK's most demanding operators has taught us where the gaps are. heliguy.io closes them.

heliguy.io— ops software for regulated drone programmesPlan · Fly · ProveLaunching 2026

The ops platform we wanted, so we built it.

Most of our customers run their drone operations across spreadsheets, PDF folders and screenshots. It works — until the regulator asks for evidence, an incident needs investigating, or the team scales. heliguy.io makes the audit-ready version the default: flight planning with live airspace data, mission logging pulled straight from the controller, reusable RAMS templates, one-click compliance exports.
