Field deploymentOperates a 24/7 drone-first-response programme covering 6,200 km² of mountain, coast and rural terrain. Heliguy supplies the fleet, trains the pilots, and maintains the airframes — all under one operational contract.
Make work fly
heliguy supplies the hardware, training, repair, software and consultancy that keep drone programmes flying — for the UK's largest police forces, fire services, utilities and telcos, and equally for the solo operator buying their first Mavic. We sit between the manufacturer and the operator, owning every link in between.
02The work
Six of the UK's most operationally demanding drone programmes — policing, fire & rescue, energy, telecoms — run on heliguy hardware, training, and support contracts.

In the fieldSearch-and-rescue across some of the UK's most punishing terrain. We supply thermal-capable airframes, run their pilot training, and provide same-week repair turnaround so equipment failure never grounds an operation.
Operator trainingSupporting one of the largest firefighting organisations in the world. Drones deployed across incident command and fire investigation. Heliguy supports the full lifecycle — including recurrent pilot training and equipment supply.
On-site trainingRoutine inspection across the regional grid — pylons, substations, overhead lines. Heliguy delivers the training programme, supplies the inspection-grade airframes, and provides ongoing technical consultancy as the regulatory landscape shifts.
Operator cohortTower-top and rooftop inspection across the national network. Heliguy trains the in-house team and consults on the BVLOS approval roadmap needed to scale operations beyond visual line-of-sight.

03How we're set up
Most drone resellers do one thing well. heliguy owns the whole chain — from plan, to fly, to prove.
DJI authorised reseller across the full enterprise range — Matrice, Mavic, Dock, payloads. Plus the UK's largest enterprise rental fleet for short- and long-term deployment.
CAA-approved RAE(PC) — Recognised Assessment Entity for Pilot Competency. Delivering GVC, A2 CofC and the new RPC-L1, plus OSC support and bespoke operator courses, in our classroom or on your site.
DJI-certified repair centre with the diagnostic tools and trained technicians most resellers send airframes elsewhere for. Crash investigation and warranty handling included.
Regulated drone-ops SaaS — flight planning, airspace + NOTAMs, RAMS templates, log sync, audit-ready compliance documentation. Built in-house, launching alongside heliguy.com.
04What we can do for you
The procurement panel's actual checklist — translated from internal org chart into what you get.

Operational05Fleet on the road
When the work is in the field, the kit goes with it. Two purpose-built vehicles, deployed for on-site training, customer demonstration and live operational support.

Self-contained mobile command unit for client sites. Workstation, comms, charging, secure storage, weather-rated.

Long-wheelbase support vehicle for multi-day deployments. Spares, charging, secondary aircraft, recovery equipment.
06The buildings
Sales, repair, engineering and operations sit in one building. The CAA-approved training classroom sits in another, three minutes' walk away.

07The team
No agency outsourcing. No reseller-with-a-laptop. One in-house team with the capability density to ship the work — from sales, through repair, to delivering industry-specific training.

08How we operate
Four operating principles. Not values. Not platitudes. The rules we run the business by.
Most of our enterprise relationships are five years old or more. We're not optimising for one-off transactions. The partnership is the product.
Hardware, training, repair, software, consultancy. The handoff between any two of those is where most drone programmes fail. We close those gaps in-house.
For the operations we support, an unannounced regulator visit is a regular event. Our systems are built so that audit-grade documentation is the default, not an afterthought.
If a drone won't solve your problem, we say so. If a training package isn't right for your team, we say so. Procurement panels prefer the honest version.
09Sectors we serve
Eight sectors, each with deep operational requirements. Not a complete list — these are the sectors where we hold the most institutional knowledge.
Drone as First Responder for police forces. Metropolitan Police, North Wales Police, Yorkshire Police, British Transport Police.
Incident response, scene assessment, thermal-led search. Merseyside FRS, RAF Mountain Rescue.
Substation and transmission inspection. Asset condition monitoring at scale. National Grid, Electricity North West.
Mast and tower inspection. Coverage planning support. BT, Siemens.
Refinery, petrochemical and heavy-industry asset inspection. Confined-space and at-height alternatives. Phillips 66, Shell.
Photogrammetry, LiDAR, 3DGS reality capture. Survey-grade outputs from drone-collected data.
Perimeter monitoring, event response, critical infrastructure protection.
Cyberhawk, Skyeye and other specialist drone operators using heliguy as their equipment, training and regulatory backbone.
10Who we serve
The same business that supplies BT and North Wales Police also helps a solo operator pick their first airframe. Most of our largest enterprise customers started as one person with a question.
First-time pilots buying their first Mavic or training to A2 CofC. Same shop, same training centre, same support line as the enterprise customers.
Survey firms, photographers, inspectors — the operator owning two to five aircraft, running their own jobs, occasionally renting extras.
Multi-site operators with internal pilot teams, formal training programmes, rental top-ups, scheduled maintenance and DJI Care Enterprise.
Police forces, fire services, mountain rescue — running drone programmes under operational permissions, with regular training cycles and 24/7 support expectations.
11Where we're going
17 years of running drone programmes for the UK's most demanding operators has taught us where the gaps are. heliguy.io closes them.
Most of our customers run their drone operations across spreadsheets, PDF folders and screenshots. It works — until the regulator asks for evidence, an incident needs investigating, or the team scales. heliguy.io makes the audit-ready version the default: flight planning with live airspace data, mission logging pulled straight from the controller, reusable RAMS templates, one-click compliance exports.
