No. With an Emlid Reach base station you generate your own corrections and send them to your rover or RTK drone over LoRa radio or NTRIP — hitting 1–2 cm horizontal accuracy without an NTRIP subscription or survey-control network.
RTK corrects positions in real time in the field. PPK logs raw observations and corrects them afterwards — Emlid Flow logs the base data and Emlid Studio post-processes it against your drone’s onboard GNSS logs, with no live radio link needed.
For pocket-sized network rover work, the Reach RX / RX2. For an all-round base/rover, the RS3. For everyday all-band survey and construction, the RS4. For complex set-out with AR stakeout and cameras, the RS4 Pro. Our team will help you configure base, rover and radios.
Yes — Emlid Reach is compatible with all major RTK-capable survey drones including the DJI M350 RTK, M300 RTK, Matrice 4T/E and Mavic 3 Enterprise. The base streams RTCM3 corrections over LoRa or NTRIP, or you post-process with free Emlid Studio.
