What do I need to book a rental?
Provide a few key documents, then enjoy your hire.
Insurance
Insure your rental under a hired-in (non-owned) equipment policy. We’ll need a certificate before your kit ships.
Flyer ID
Hold a valid CAA Flyer ID, plus an Operator ID covering the category of aircraft you’re hiring.
Proof of ID
After checkout, send a copy of your passport or driving licence so we can verify the booking.

Can the XGRIDS Lixel K1 be drone-mounted?⌄
No, the Lixel K1 can not be drone-mounted. It is a handheld scanner, only. For a drone-mounted option, upgrade to the XGRIDS Lixel L2.
How accurate is the XGRIDS Lixel K1?⌄
The LiDAR module on the XGRIDS Lixel K1 can yield an accuracy of 1.2cm.
Can the XGRIDS Lixel K1 produce colourised point clouds?⌄
Yes. The K1's combination of laser point clouds and 56MP imaging allows it to generate richly-coloured and finely detailed 3D point cloud models in real-time.
What is the difference between the XGRIDS Lixel K1 and the XGRIDS Lixel L2 scanners?⌄
Lixel K1: The K1's 40-channel LiDAR module has a 40m scan range and can scan 200,000 points per seconds. Lixel L2-16 channel: The Lixel L2 16-channel LiDAR scanner has a 120m scan range and can scan 320,000p/s. Lixel L2-32 channel: The Lixel L2 32-channel LiDAR scanner has a 300m scan range and can scan 640,000p/s for a broader scanning perspective and upgraded point-cloud quality. The Lixel K1 cannot be drone-mounted, but the Lixel L2 can.
Does my Heliguy rental include an SD card?⌄
No, heliguy™ rentals do not come with any external SD cards.
