What is LCC? How does it differ from other 3DGS products and solutions?⌄
LCC is XGRIDS' first commercial SLAM-based 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) solution, enabling rapid mobile scanning to create high-quality, interactive, and measurable 3D models for real-world industrial application.
How is LCC different from free mobile 3D scanning apps?⌄
Mobile apps are suitable for simple object scanning and personal projects, while LCC efficiently handles larger-scale and complex environments (e.g., entire buildings and urban areas) with greater accuracy, precision, and professional-level quality suited for industrial scenarios.
Do I need professional 3D modelling knowledge to use LCC?⌄
Not at all. LCC is an automated, one-stop solution that guides users effortlessly from scanning to generating high-quality models. No prior 3D modelling experience is required.
What advantages does LCC offer compared to traditional photogrammetry?⌄
LCC captures data faster, creates models with higher accuracy, and results in smaller, lighter files.
It excels in modeling reflective surfaces, complex geometry, and challenging conditions—areas where traditional photogrammetry often struggles, resulting in holes or blurred parts.
Who or which industries are suitable for LCC?⌄
LCC is ideal for various sectors, including Architecture & Construction (AEC), BIM projects, film and media production, XR and virtual reality, cultural heritage preservation, industrial digital twins, and smart city applications.
How can I purchase LCC?⌄

What hardware does LCC support? Do I need special cameras?⌄
LCC supports XGRIDS' proprietary Lixel scanners (e.g., K1 and L2 Pro), which feature built-in LiDAR, IMU, and stereo cameras, providing an easy-to-start scanning solution without complex equipment or complicated setups.
LCC also supports the XGRIDS PortalCam: A spatial camera dedicated to creating 3DGS models.
