Buying guide · Which Air
DJI Air 3S or Air 3?
Both are dual-camera drones flying around 46 minutes on a battery with OcuSync 4 transmission. The Air 3S steps up to a 1" main sensor and a 70 mm telephoto for stronger low-light and shallow-depth stills; the Air 3 keeps the versatile wide + tele pairing at a sharper price.
The bigger 1" main sensor and telephoto — best image quality and low-light performance in the Air line.
The dual wide + tele combo that started the line — a capable all-rounder, often the value pick.

Air 3S or Air 3 — which should I buy?
Buy the Air 3S for the best image quality — its 1" main sensor and telephoto pull ahead, especially in low light. The Air 3 remains a strong all-rounder and is often the better-value buy.
How is the Air different from the Mini and Mavic?
The Air line sits in the middle: bigger and more capable than the sub-250 g Mini, more affordable and lighter than the flagship Mavic. Dual cameras and ~46-minute flight make it a versatile all-rounder.
Do I need to register it?
Yes — the Air drones are over 250 g, so you’ll need both an Operator ID and a Flyer ID from the CAA to fly outdoors in the UK.
Which combo — drone only or Fly More?
The Fly More Combo adds two extra batteries, a charging hub and a bag — worth it if you fly for more than one battery at a time.
Can I add crash cover?
Yes — DJI Care Refresh and our Repair Refresh both cover the current Air models.
