Frequently asked questions
How many versions of the DJI Zenmuse H30 series are there?⌄
There are two versions of the H30 Series: H30 and H30T. The H30 includes four sensors: wide, zoom, laser rangefinder, and a near-infrared auxiliary light, and the H30T has all of these sensors, plus a thermal camera. There is no H30N, as the H30T is powerful enough to offer both day and night vision capabilities.
What drone platforms are compatible with the Zenmuse H30 Series?⌄
The DJI Zenmuse H30 Series is compatible with the DJI Matrice 400, DJI Matrice 350 RTK, and Matrice 300 RTK when used with the DJI RC Plus. Before using, please upgrade the firmware of the drone and remote controller to the latest version.
Onto which gimbal port can I mount a Zenmuse H30 Series payload?⌄
Either of the Zenmuse H30 Series payloads can be mounted onto any gimbal port on the Matrice 350 RTK or Matrice 300 RTK. The payloads in the Zenmuse H30 Series are also compatible with the DJI M400.
What are the differences between the Zenmuse H30 Series and the H20 Series?⌄
Enhanced visible light capabilities: Supports up to 34× optical zoom and 400× digital zoom. Improved infrared thermal camera: Resolution increased from 640×512 to 1280×1024; features High-Res mode for better observation of objects with small temperature differences; expanded temperature measurement range from -20° to 1600° C (-4° to 2912° F).* Enhanced night scene capabilities, with adjustable frame rates of 25fps, 15fps, and 5fps; and features an NIR auxiliary light. Extended laser rangefinding range up to 3000 meters. Supports Smart Capture. Supports electronic dehazing. Provides video foreground stabilisation, enhancing efficiency in operations such as powerline inspections. * With an Infrared Density Filter installed, the max measurement temperature can reach 1600° C (2912° F).
What is the new pre-recording feature of the Zenmuse H30 Series? What is it for?⌄
Pre-recording is a feature that allows the device to cache a segment of video for a set duration before the user starts recording. When recording begins, the cached content is included in the video, preventing excessive use of microSD card space.
Purpose: With pre-recording enabled, even if recording starts after an event has begun, the device can save the moments before the recording started onto the microSD card, ensuring that potentially critical information isn't missed.
What are the application scenarios of the Zenmuse H30 Series?⌄
The products are suitable for a wide range of fields, including but not limited to geothermal inspection, firefighting and search and rescue, forest fire prevention, wildlife protection, power line inspection, oil and gas inspection, traffic law enforcement, facility inspection, and infrastructure inspection.
Does the DJI Zenmuse H30 Series support mapping scenarios?⌄
The H30 series is not suitable for professional-level mapping but can be used for non-high accuracy mapping scenarios, with a horizontal accuracy of ≤ 10 cm. To achieve this level of accuracy, ensure normal RTK status, fly at 80 metres altitude and 10 m/s speed, pitch the gimbal to -90°, and post-process data with DJI Terra for 10cm horizontal accuracy.
Does the DJI M350 RTK support post-processed kinematic (PPK) technology?⌄
When the DJI M350 RTK is mounted with the Zenmuse P1 or Zenmuse L1, the task folder stores photos, point clouds, GNSS observations, and image log files, which are used for PPK post-processing calculations.
